Amusement Park Europa Park (Europa Park) – the largest Park of Germany competing for second place with Spanish Park Costa CARIBE aquatic Park (first place unconditionally belongs to the French Disneyland ). It covers an area of 85 hectares and offers visitors more than 120 attractions.
By the way, a curious history of the Park. The Park was originally opened by the family of the Mac, the manufacturer of the rides since 1921 (the firm began operations in the late XVIII century!). The main purpose of the Park was to demonstrate the samples of production, i.e. directly rides. And so over time, this “demonstration” has grown into one of the largest parks in Europe.
The Park consists of 14 themed zones, United by one idea: to give the opportunity to circumvent the whole of Europe in one day. Europe is represented in almost all countries; there is Austria, England, Germany, Holland, Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Scandinavia, Switzerland, France and even Russia (evropeiskaja) and fictional Adventures and the World of Children . In 2009 opened another “country” – Iceland .
